Provider Management Educational Services courses are approved at the national level by the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB).
In order for courses to be accepted by the NAB, they must meet the following approval standards:
CE Program subject matter must:
- Relate to long term care administration
- Promote continued knowledge and skill in the NAB Domains of Practice
Faculty/presenters must have:
- Experience and academic preparation in the subject matter presented
- Expertise in education and instructional methods
Attendance monitoring and verification process must:
- Ensure that attendees receive credit only for time actually present at programs or in active self-study
- Provide each participant with a certificate of attendance
- Provide each participating state with a list of program attendees
Self-study Programs must:
- Use a pre-and post-test to verify learning
- Require a score of 70% or better on the post-test to receive a certificate of completion
