It is the accident everyone dreads. A resident has fallen and an injury may have occurred. This program focuses on the causes of falls and fall-related injuries, complications as a result of falls, and on useful interventions. Being familiar with causal and risk factors will enable health care providers develop interventions that will decrease the incidence of falls and ensure that elderly persons' independence is maintained or promoted.
