"Geriatric Nutrition" by Gisela Koufus, CE Provider
4 credit hours

This program is designed to provide guidance based on current information of how best to meet the dietary and nutritional requirements of the growing aged and aging population, and to help them establish nutritional habits that determine present and future health and independence. The text addresses the interrelation among physical aging, nutrition, and disease, in addition to drug effects on the nutritional status. Comprehension of these important associations and the application of this knowledge will contribute to more effective health promotion, well-being, disease prevention, and disease management in elderly persons.

Assisted Living Administrators:

The State of California Dept of Social Services now accepts NAB approved CEU courses as long as they are in the Core Knowledge Base – i.e. Appropriate & Relevant Subject Matter for RCFEs!

Many other states are also accepting NAB / NCERS approved courses for Assisted Living Administrator Continuing Education. Please contact your state's agency to inquire if they accept NAB / NCERS approved courses for Assisted Living continuing education credits.
