New Offering: Assisted Living Administrator Certificate Programs

These comprehensive web-based education programs will assist in preparing you for a career in the Assisted Living field. They also provide you the tools necessary to manage Assisted Living communities within the Senior Housing continuum.

The Introductory program meets the requirements of many states for Assisted Living education and is approved by NAB’s National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS). This program also serves as a resource in preparing for the NAB national assisted living administrator (RC/AL) exam and as a study resource for various state programs.

The Advanced program builds on the information presented in the Introductory program to enhance your knowledge base. It is also NAB (NCERS) approved and is recommended by the American College of Healthcare Administrators (ACHCA) for experienced professionals preparing to take the ACHCA Assisted Living Certification exam.

Both the Introductory and Advanced programs are comprised of 5 individual courses centered around each of the specific Domains of Practice, giving you much more focus on each subject area, as well as greater flexibility and choice in developing your education plan.

Our author, Christian Mason, of Vigilan, a national speaker and assisted living operator, has compiled an extensive and up to date body of knowledge. We at Provider Management are grateful to Mr. Mason for making this material accessible for you in a format that can reach such a wide audience, and is conducive to learning in an interactive way.

The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) has approved the Introductory program as the basis for implementing the Assisted Living Educational Initiative “Promoting Leadership Excellence in Assisted Living”. This ACHCA initiative is supported by a generous grant from the Ross Product Division, Abbott Laboratories. ACHCA also supports the Advanced program as preparatory for the ACHCA Professional Certification exam. Provider Management appreciates ACHCA's endorsement of these assisted living curricula, and look forward to working with ACHCA to meet their educational goals.

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine has approved our programs for college credits through their distance learning curriculum. John Pratt, FACHCA, of St. Joseph’s College, approved both the Introductory and the Advanced programs for 3 credit hours each, as part of their long term care administration program core curriculum. This is an excellent way for the healthcare executive and senior living professionals to advance themselves professionally.

If you are already an Administrator, the courses in each program are approved for NAB CEUs.
